Education & Background
Attorney Jenny M. Evans received her Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati Law School in May of 2012. She previously got her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Capital University in Columbus, OH. Ms. Evans was a highly decorated collegiate debate participant that qualified and competed in the national competition.
She became licensed to practice in Ohio in November of 2012, and started J.M. Evans Law LLC. The firm is located at 463 2nd Avenue in Gallipolis, OH, and shares office space with her husband’s law firm, “Cherrington, Moulton, and Evans.” In May of 2013, attorney Evans also became licensed to practice in West Virginia and the federal court’s Southern District of West Virginia.

She primarily practices in Ohio’s Gallia and Meigs counties, as well as Mason County (Point Pleasant), WV. However, Jenny also serves Jackson, Lawrence (Ironton), Scioto (Portsmouth), and Vinton counties in Ohio, in addition to West Virginia’s Jackson (Ripley) County.
Jenny has organized and participated in free community legal clinic, provides legal counsel for local businesses and currently participates in the Civil Justice Program Grant to provide basic divorce and custody advice to financially needy families.

Ms. Evans is a Gallia County local, Gallipolis resident and graduate from Gallia Academy High School. She is married to attorney David C. Evans, and they have two children. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Evans gained real world experience as a legal assistant, protective service representative, and clerked in the Gallipolis Municipal Court and West Virginia 5th Judicial Circuit Court. Jenny is very active in the community and the Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Ariel Theatre (acting as secretary), and the Gallia County Metropolitan Housing Authority. Ms. Evans is a long-time member of Gallipolis Rotary Club, and was President for Rotary Year 2017-2018.
Attorney Evans is an active member of multiple bar associations and keeps up with current legal case laws and trends. She is a member of the Gallia County Bar Association, Meigs County Bar Association, Mason County, WV Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar, and the Ohio State Bar Association.
